Illvis Freshly is one of the west coast’s most established bands, bringing golden era vibes, funky basslines, smooth rhymes, and feel-good afternoon notions. Classic funk and soul, catchy riffs, and energy are always on the menu at an Illvis Freshly show, and fans are used to classic hop-hop flavours and fluid, melodic vocals. Finding Illvis Freshly playing a daytime set at a reggae festival or primetime at the craziest festival is equally probable.

Made up of Doc Zoo, Mike Cooper, Mt. Doyle, Phillionaire, and Danimal House, Illvis Freshly knows how to start, annihilate, and wrap a party, although “Wheel Up” is more suited for the annihilation phase of the show.

A DnB classic through and through, “Wheel Up” features a catchy bassline, smooth vocals, and fun lyrics that give listeners hints of Chali 2Na and Beastie Boys. It is a definite summer tune and has the potential to be the tune—the one you hear at every stage of the festival while you’re walking around.
